Two views of the new Scania Wright articulated buses operating on the high traffic X66 route from Gateshead Metro Interchange to the Metrocentre. The service is a non-stop run from the centre of town to the shopping centre on the outskirts.

These new vehicles are certainly popular with passengers; they are buggy and wheelchair friendly and have a capacity of over 100. The door in the rear section is for exit only, and on normal service would only be opened at termini.
